Maybachin uskottiin olevan jo kuopattu, mutta Auto Motor und Sport kertoo sen palaavan Mercedes-Benz S 600 Maybach -nimisenä.

Mercedeksen S-sarja tullaan näkemään kuutena eri versiona: sedan ja sen lang versio, cabriolet, coupe, Pullman ja sen loistokkain malli Maybach. Maybachin 5.5 metrin pituus on yli 40cm perus S-sarjalaista pidempi, muotokielen pysyessä kuitenkin S-sarjalaiselle uskollisena. S 600 Maybachin 5.5-litrainen V12-moottori tullee tuottamaan 585 hv. Tuontanto tullee tapahtumaan Sindelfingenissä ja sen ensiesittelyn uskotaan tapahtuvanmarraskuussa 2014 Guangzhoun autonäyttelyssä.

Maybach was already thought to be buried, but now there is hope. The Maybach’s successor is to be called Mercedes-Benz S 600 Maybach

According to Auto Motor und Sport Mercedes-Benz will offer the new S-Class in six different versions, the sedan and its lang version, the convertible, the coupe, the Pullman and finally the most prestigious XL version, the Maybach. This 5.50 meter long version of the new S-Class will again bear the name ”Maybach” and compared to the standard S-Class the S 600 Maybach is nearly 40 centimeters longer. The Mercedes-Benz S 600 Maybach has the S-Class design language, but will be distinctivly more luxurious. Its 5.5-liter V12 engine is thought to produce 585 bhp. It will be built in Sindelfingen and its will make its first appearance in November 2014 at the auto show in Guangzhou.
